- Welcome Divol, and thank you for your interest.
- One of the most important festivals in Japan, and counted as one of the three most important festivals in Kyoto. In Haiku an originally normal noun "matsuri" (fest) means this festival - so important is it for Japanese culture. en:w:Gion Matsuri would be informative.
